Do I need a new mailbox?

No. Note forwards to the inbox you already use — Gmail, Outlook, Proton, iCloud or a corporate address.

Can I change my destination later?

Yes. Changing the primary destination asks for an extra verification step, then forwarding continues to the new inbox.

What happens if I stop paying?

Your account falls back to the Free plan and keeps one active address. The others are disabled, not deleted.
